Sunny Sweeney, a genre-bending, songwriting spitfire who has spent equal time in the rich musical traditions of Texas and Tennessee and brings together confessional songwriting, image-rich narratives and no shortage of sonic surprises.
She is also the host of two daily radio shows on Sirius XM Outlaw Country (The Sunny Side of Life) and Willie’s Roadhouse Sunny Side Up), marking a new chapter in her professional life. Sunny is still touring with her band to the tune of 150 shows per year, worldwide, and she is working on a new country music musical called Stardust Riders.
She has also started producing records for herself (a new one is on the way) and other artists, working along side her partner and guitar player, Harley Husbands.
Sweeney is not the kind of artist you come across then forget. She continues to cement her status as one of country music’s finest storytellers.
